5月5日上午8🏊🏽‍♀️；30👩‍👩‍👦，外院毕业生论文答辩在励耘楼准时开始🤙🏻。答辩为11个小组同时进行🦸🏻👩‍⚕️，2012届毕业生们均参加了这一具有标志性意义的活动。

答辩过程中🧛🏽‍♂️，同学们先作3到5分钟的论点阐释，再由老师们提问⛹🏼‍♀️。老师们通常会指出论文中存在的问题并给出相关意见🚬，有时候还会给同学们提一些未来研究的建议🈚️。大四的学生很重视这次答辩并为此做了很多准备🤢。 本届依然出现了许多优秀论文，在这些论文的基础上🛖，同学们经过充分准备大部分都能做到表达流利、条理清晰。

除了参加答辩的学生之外，大三的学生也非常重视这次答辩。许多大三学生都结伴到现场观摩， 并思考自己未来的论文方向🧓。现场还有部分大二的同学到场观摩⭐️。记者随机采访了一名大二同学👨‍🦲，她表示🌗，想提前了解答辩流程，认识自己与优秀师兄师姐的差距激励自己更加努力的学习。

答辩结束后，老师们为答辩的同学提出了许多宝贵意见🛃， 并对到场观摩的学生表示赞赏🚶‍➡️。

Thesis Defense for English Majors of 2013

At 8:30 a.m. on May 5th, the thesis defense for English Majors of 2013 was held by the School of Foreign Languages in Liyun Building. The graduates took part in this thesis defense in 11 teams.

During the defense, every student made a presentation within 3 to 5 minutes and answered some questions related to the thesis from the teachers. The teachers often pointed out their mistakes and made some suggestions on their theses or even on their future study.

Most of the students made much count of the defense and prepared for it carefully. There were still many excellent theses in this year. With sufficient preparations, most students spoke fluently and expounded clearly in a logical way.

This defense also attracted many junior students. They wanted to know what they should do in the coming year. After the thesis defense, some junior students began to consider the orientation of their theses. Some sophomores also came to the defense. One of the students said, she wanted to know the process of the defense and it was a good chance for her to consider what effort she make in the future.

As for the theses, the teachers offered helpful suggestions and expressed appreciation to all students.
