3月12日，依然蒙蒙细雨👨‍🌾，薄雾笼罩着整个校园。然而，同学们来英语角的热情依旧高涨🚂，图书馆里到处可见同学们与外教相谈甚欢的场景。出席本次英语角的外教有Mr.Andrew Ryan Chun⏩、Ms.Linda Jean Visner🎷👩🏿‍💻、Dr. Richard Stopford🧑‍🎄、Mr. Sean McHugh🆘、Ms. Dulene Cipiriano Mr. Brian Anderson、Mr.Ian Richard McHugh.

进入图书馆，首先引人注目的是Mr. Sean McHugh的印度佛教打扮和他在墙上粘的有关印度佛教的图片。Mr. Sean McHugh通过PPT详细地给同学们讲解了佛教文化，他还介绍了英国的概况，并将英国与中国各方面做了生动的对比，让同学们进一步地认识英国，了解中国♏️。

Ms. Linda J. Visner和 Dr. Richard Stopford 则跟同学们讨论了教育问题。Ms. Linda J. Visner谈及到🧜🏽‍♀️，中国的“大班”教育需要改进🙆🏼‍♀️，因为从教学角度出发🤹🏻‍♀️，人数较少的“小班”教育不仅有利于老师教学的开展，而且能够提高学生的学习效率。Dr. Richard Stopford 则分享了他对于大学生自主选择课堂等问题的看法，引起了同学激烈的讨论。

每一次的英语角👨‍✈️🏤，都是一次知识文化上传播与交流。通过与外教的交谈👱🏽‍♂️🕴，同学们可以提高口语能力，丰富个人知识。希望更多的同学能够积极参与其中！

English Corner---Diversity of Culture

Though March 12 was a rainy day, students still went to the English Corner passionately. About eight foreign teachers attended the English corner: Mr.Andrew Ryan Chun, Ms.Linda Jean Visner, Dr. Richard Stopford、Mr. Sean McHugh🤹🏽‍♀️、Ms. Dulene Cipiriano、Mr. Brian Anderson and Mr.Ian Richard McHugh.

The most attractive scenes were Mr. Sean McHugh’s dressing and some Indian Buddhism pictures on the wall. Mr. Sean McHugh explained those pictures in detail to students so as to introduce the Indian Buddhism. In addition, he illustrated the difference between Chinese and British culture.

Ms. Linda J. Visner and Dr. Richard Stopford discussed education problems with students. From Ms. Linda J. Visner ’s perspective, she thought some schools needed to reduce the number of students in one class in order to create a better environment for students. While Dr. Richard Stopford shared his opinions on whether students should choose lessons based on their own interests.

The English Corner is a good place for students to improve oral English and broaden their horizon. We hope more students will join in the English corner.
