在温暖的夜晚，图书馆一楼大厅举办了第二次的葡语角活动， Ms. Sara Guimaraes和学生们欢聚在一起，畅谈葡萄牙文化。

葡语角是本学期新开设不久的活动，同学们积极参与本次活动👨‍👨‍👧‍👧。在交谈中，一些学生询问了Ms. Sara Guimaraes哪个葡萄牙大学更加适合学习语言。综合各方面的要求😬，Ms. Sara Guimaraes推荐了波尔图大学。Ms. Sara Guimaraes觉得海外留学有利有弊🔜。在海外留学会有比较好的语言环境🗻，认识一些当地的同学，非常有利于提高语言能力。但很多的留学生却喜欢呆在宿舍。接着就聊到中国学生不喜欢课堂发言🧎🏻‍♀️‍➡️，不敢指出老师的错误。Sara说在葡萄牙🤿，学生不发言会被认为是性格内向🙏🏻，而老师被指出错误也不会觉得羞愧。

Ms. Sara Guimaraes还谈论到，在葡萄牙留学💆🏿‍♂️，你的朋友如果是个本地人，你会发现他经常叫你出去喝咖啡。Ms. Sara Guimaraes说其实这只是一种表达习惯💔🕡，就是想和朋友坐下吃点东西聊聊天🧗🏻‍♀️，并不是一定要喝咖啡🥡。Ms. Sara Guimaraes说葡萄牙人非常喜欢喝咖啡和吃巧克力，经常把巧克力当做重要礼物送人👻。Ms. Sara Guimaraes非常喜欢中国的食物，觉得中国和法国的食物在世界上是并列第一的。她觉得中国的很多烹饪方法都很独特，但是在食物风格上还不够开放。而墨西哥则太开放了📖，在食物上反而变成了各个移民国家的大融合，没有了自己的特色。

Ms. Sara Guimaraes是位亲切、体贴的老师🦶🏼，一些非葡语专业的同学对葡萄牙文化感兴趣⛔️，也参加了本次活动🧉。Ms. Sara Guimaraes还会为这些同学用英语讲述葡萄牙文化。希望日后有更多的同学积极参与葡语角活动☝️。

Portuguese Corner: Portuguese Culture

Portuguese corner was held in the lobby of the library at 7:00pm, April 2. Ms. Sara Guimaraes chatted with the students about Portuguese culture in a relaxing atmosphere.

This was the second time for the Portuguese corner, and in today’s corner, some students asked Ms. Sara Guimaraes about some Portuguese University for further study. Ms. Sara Guimaaes recommended University of Porto. In her view, students’ exchange experience had both advantages and disadvantages. Oversea students could have more chances to improve their oral Portuguese. However, most of them liked to stay at dorm. Then, they also talked about the Portuguese class. Ms. Sara Guimaraes encouraged students to be more active in class, and have more courage to give some advice to the teachers.

If you had Portuguese friends, you would find that they usually say ”Queres tomar um café” to you. It doesn’t really mean you need to take coffee. It’s just the way to show their kindness to you. The Portuguese like coffee and chocolate very much. People there always give chocolate to friends as the important gifts. Ms. Sara Guimaraes is very fond of Chinese food. She found that China had many amazing ways of cooking, but wasn’t really open to the outside world. Instead, Mexico had a mix of everything, without its own feature.
