9月11日上午🙀,学校召开了第一次全校雅思教学团队交流会。九游会平台院长陶文好教授、副院长谢文婷副教授👏🏽、国际交流与合作处副处长李蕾以及雅思教师共25人参加了此次交流会。
会议由陶文好教授主持,他首先传达了常务副校长傅爱兰教授的问候和会议精神🛷。傅爱兰常务副校长指出雅思教学团队的建设不仅是中外合作项目发展的关键☞,也是学校整体发展战略的重要组成部分,今后的雅思教学将以团队模式开展👩🏼💻,发挥团队管理优势,打造一支教学质量优🐌、互帮互助的高水平教学团队✊🏽。
陶院长介绍了雅思团队的基本情况,该团队教师来自九游会平台、设计J9九游会和国际商学部。三个J9九游会(部)的雅思专任教师由负责中加合作办学项目以及全校所有“2+2”项目的雅思教学团队共同组成💼。他们不仅拥有丰富的雅思教学经验,还有多年的海外留学背景,不少老师毕业于悉尼大学、曼彻斯特大学、波士顿大学、巴斯大学等知名学府。
与会教师在现场进行了充分交流,深入讨论了雅思听、说、读🤸🏿♂️、写四个模块的方方面面🅾️,分享了一些行之有效的教学方法🧏🏽♂️💇🏼,如写作经验分享提到的师生量表共评法、听力教学中的BBC纪录片扩展法等。各位老师还对雅思教学中的师生反馈、视野扩展👮♀️、批判性思维、兴趣培养以及课后辅导方式进行了实质性的探讨。
最后,陶院长在总结发言中补充和强调了雅思教学团队建设的一系列举措和正在探索的管理创新模式👯⛏,借鉴市场上雅思培训机构的优秀经验👩🏻🦽➡️,鼓励各位教师钻研雅思考试的内容和形式。此次交流会形成了定期召开教研会议的机制,对我校雅思教学资源的整合🙇🏻♀️、团队协作机制的建设和资源共享平台的搭建产生了积极意义🍡。
The First Academic Exchange Meeting of IELTS Teaching Team in BNUZ

September 11th 2015 saw the First Academic Exchange Meeting of IELTS Teaching Team in BNUZ held successfully. Professor Tao Wenhao, Dean of SFL, Associate Professor Xie Wenting, Vice dean of SFL, Ms. Li Lei, deputy director of the Office of International Exchange & Cooperation and 22 IELTS teachers of the University attended the meeting.
It was hosted by Professor Tao who conveyed greetings of Fu Ailan, executive vice president of the University, and explained the purpose of the meeting. It was pointed out by Professor Fu Ailan that the development of IELTS teaching team is not only the key to promote Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, but also a crucial part in BNUZ''s overall development strategy. She also said that the future development of IELTS teaching in BNUZ will adopt a team-based mode, which will give full play to advantages of team management and contributes to build an IELTS teaching team of high quality and mutual help.
Professor Tao then introduced the IELTS teaching team of BNUZ. Responsible for all the IELTS teaching work in BNUZ, teachers of the team are from School of Foreign Languages, College of Design and International Business Faculty. They all have rich experience in IELTS teaching and overseas studying experiences, and many of them graduated from elite universities like University of Sydney, University of Manchester, Boston University and University of Bath.
The meeting served as a good opportunity for these teachers to exchange ideas about four aspects of IELTS teaching which include listening, speaking, reading and writing. And they shared with each other feasible teaching methods such as mutual rating scale between teachers and students, and expanding approach of BBC Documentary in the teaching of listening. Moreover, they had a profound discussion concerning the feedback of both teachers and students, expansion of students'' horizon, critical thinking, interest cultivation and ways of after-school tutoring.
In his concluding statements, Professor Tao illustrated and emphasized a series of measures to develop the team and innovative management model under exploration. He stressed the necessity to learn from IELTS training institutes, and suggested that teachers probe into the content and the form of IELTS examination. The mechanism of convening regular meeting was established, which was of great significance for the University to integrate IELTS teaching resources, develop the mechanism of team cooperation, and to build a platform for resource sharing.
