Though March 12 was a rainy day, students still went to the English Corner passionately. About eight foreign teachers attended the English corner: Mr.Andrew Ryan Chun, Ms.Linda Jean Visner, Dr. Richard Stopford、Mr. Sean McHugh🦮、Ms. Dulene Cipiriano⚁、Mr. Brian Anderson and Mr.Ian Richard McHugh.
The most attractive scenes were Mr. Sean McHugh’s dressing and some Indian Buddhism pictures on the wall. Mr. Sean McHugh explained those pictures in detail to students so as to introduce the Indian Buddhism. In addition, he illustrated the difference between Chinese and British culture.
Ms. Linda J. Visner and Dr. Richard Stopford discussed education problems with students. From Ms. Linda J. Visner ’s perspective, she thought some schools needed to reduce the number of students in one class in order to create a better environment for students. While Dr. Richard Stopford shared his opinions on whether students should choose lessons based on their own interests.
The English Corner is a good place for students to improve oral English and broaden their horizon. We hope more students will join in the English corner.
