English Corner:Broadening Your Horizon
By Huang Minting
In December, the climate in Zhuhai is still warm. Today Mr. Jeremy Jenkin and Mr. Christopher Dockstader attended the English Corner.
Mr. Christopher Dockstader discussed different situations about drowning with the students around. There were differences between the drowned children, people who pretend to be drowned and those who was at the edge of death. He used a lot of vivid sentences and body languages while he was describing. What’s more, he said that the grammar and the words are the most important part of learning English. When he saw some music scores, he also talked about music with the students. And Mr. Jeremy Jenkin shared his experience about his traveling all over the world. He said that he didn’t care too much about the beautiful scenes; on the contrary, he cared about the cultures, customs and human landscape.
With the laughter going away, the English Corner came to an end. Students broadned their horizon through talking with foreign teachers today.
